We had a quiet weekend. Although Joshua slept most of the time, he still has been recognizing us and communicating. Even managed a couple of witty one-liners as well as made sure to let me know he was none to pleased with me trying to move him. He is for the most part, comfortable except when we do need to move him to change him or re-position him in bed. Obviously, we do this as little as possible. We're increasing his methadone today, so by tomorrow he should be more comfortable.

He stopped eating late last week and over yesterday and so far today has been taking less and less liquids. Essentially, he is doing what he's supposed to be doing and all we on the sidelines can do is wait.

I've continued to have my rotating cast of in-home support. Mabel decided to return home on Saturday as originally scheduled for a much needed break. She'll return tomorrow and stay for the week. My sister arrived on Saturday for a couple of days, Jennifer comes from Placerville today for an overnight stay, and my aunt will drive up tomorrow from LA for a couple of days. All in all, we're well taken care of.
