As I like to say to Joshua, Merry Day Before Day Before Christmas. None of this stressed-out, who has time for Christmas feeling for me. I'm like a little kid, filled with excitement for my favorite time of year. This year is feeling particularly special, as Joshua continues to hold his own against this encroaching beast. We've got a tree this year for the first time in quite a while and have the whole apartment decorated. Joshua was a cookie-making star, helping me roll out nearly 8 dozen cookies that were theoretically made as gifts. Well, at least some of them made it to their intended recipients. My sister, Sarah, and her husband, Aaron, are with us this year and we'll all troop over to San Anselmo to spend Christmas Day with cousin Andrew and family (wife Christy and daughters Lucy and Avery) and Uncle Lloyd and Aunt Pat.
Merry Christmas, everyone, and Happy Hanaukah, Kwanzaa, Winter Solstice, and any other wintertime holiday. We send you a joyful wish that the New Year brings you much peace, happiness, and good health. Thank you for being in our lives. We remain so grateful for the many friends and family who continue to send hopes and prayers.
